Getting ready for turkey day and our Thanksgiving weekend traditions. Phil & I usually spend Thansgiving with friends, many times over at Angies house, watching football and hanging out in sweats etc. Friday is tree day. We go out after breakfast, head to Savemart for their $19.99 special, and pick the first one we see. No searching around to find "the best" one, and if it's still all tied up, even better. more

It's like Christmas tree roulette. Hopefully we get a good one. I spend the rest of the day hauling out boxes and decorationg the house, but in  a leisurely way. If it takes all weekend, no biggie. Finally Saturday, we head to the Handborn Craft Bazaar in downtown Modesto. Friends Julie Edwards & Tawnly Holt started this event several years ago, and it's grown into a really cool, and pretty big event.  It's one of the best nights to be in downtown Modesto, for some food, drinks and really great shopping. In past years, they always had so many cute handmade baby things, and me with no babies to buy for. Not this year.  Auntie Tammy is going overboard!!! Plus they've got great jewelry, and so much more. See you there!

Crazy that 3 weeks have gone by, and sleeping in way too late has set in (8:30), but that's not horrible, is it? I've been reorganizing my cabinets, and cleaning...a lot. Otherwiswe been keeping pretty busy but hope that things will slow down enough to do a podcast a day, and I'm figuring out how to post them on itunes so you can auto download daily. Check out the latest below.

Well we're in Napa for the weekend for Live In The Vineyard! Funny :)
I hope we run into our grand prize winner from Turlock here this weekend, and I have to tell you I'm usually really good at names, but we pulled her name as the winner and called her, about 1 hour before getting laid off.  We had our scheduled "meeting time" after our show, and Angie and I said to each other that a.m., we better pull our Napa winner 'cause we're probably not gonna be here tomorrow. Yes, I was about 95% sure we were gettin' the axe. But more on that when we get back.
So  now we're. Spent last night at the fabulous Hess Collection Winery splurged for some "Charbono". It's a red wine. It's o.k., I didn't know what it was either. Enjoyed some music, great food...blah blah. You don't want to hear about this. This is like when one of the people on the show 'Survivor' would get a reward, and come back to camp and tell everybody "ooh my tummy hurts, 'cause I ate so much"!

But here's a pic of us with Chad from Nickelback. we'll post a bunch of pics this weekend on our facebook.com/cruiseandgood

Check out pics of our run in with Chad Kroeger, Angie mastering the claw machine at Denny's at 3 in the morning, interviewing Marc Roberge of O.A.R. and some pics from the show with Christina Perri, O.A.R. Daughtry and more. Check out our napa pics at www.facebook.com/cruiseandgood.

This week Modesto, California fell victim to a round of layoffs that have been going on nation wide in the radio industry.

All over the country corporately owned radio stations have been cutting back local programming and consolidating their programming in an effort to maximize profits and stay afloat.

A couple of days ago Modesto, California lost our favorite radio DJ duos Tammy Cruise and Angie Good to one of those cut backs.

All hope is not lost though for fans of the team which has been a Modesto institution for 13 years now. Cruise N Good have their own internet based radio station called 'Loser's Lounge Radio' which they plan to keep broadcasting on as they work out what their next move is.

Their online radio station is available worldwide at http://www.LosersLoungeRadio.com

Modesto News .org met up with Tammy Cruise this evening a local area fundraiser and got this exclusive interview with her about her thoughts and plans. click here

Thanks ModestoNews.org for keeping the valley informed

Yes, you've heard right. CNG are out of gig again. No biggie, it was expected. But bittersweet as this has been my industry for 20+ years and we've made so many friends in this community. Corporate radio has decided they can do local radio better from the major market hubs than we can here....locally. Sounds crazy, but read on and enjoy the story, TC;
